Officers from the Main Directorate of the Russian Interior Ministry for St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region conducted an inspection at a construction site located in the Novoselye area of the Lomonosov District. During the raid, organized by the Migration Department and a special police regiment, the documents of 123 foreign citizens were checked.
According to the inspection results, violations were identified in nearly half of the migrants. Specifically, it was revealed that 47 individuals were working outside the territory specified in their patents, while another 10 foreigners were working without any permits at all. All 57 violators were taken to local police stations to clarify the circumstances.
Additionally, an investigation has been launched against the employer who hired these foreign citizens in violation of legal requirements. Law enforcement agencies are currently examining all aspects of the case, and the issue of the employer's liability is being addressed.
Such raids are conducted on a regular basis to monitor compliance with migration legislation. Workers are advised to check the validity area of their patents and the authenticity of their documents in advance.
