Over 7 tons of produce seized from illegal migrant traders in Novosibirsk

In the city of Novosibirsk, raids were conducted to identify illegal trading spots, involving staff from the city hall's Department of Investments, Consumer Market, and Entrepreneurship, as well as police representatives. During the inspections, individuals were identified who were trading in violation of established regulations.

As a result of the raids, four administrative protocols were issued against citizens engaged in illegal trade under Article 9.1 of the Novosibirsk Region Law "On Administrative Offenses" ("Trading in unauthorized places").

During the inspection, a total of 7,838 kilograms of potatoes, onions, and cabbage were confiscated. Representatives of the city hall stated that control measures to curb unauthorized trading activities will continue in the future.

It should be noted that according to Novosibirskstat data, as of the end of September 2026, despite a decrease in prices for staple vegetables in the region, the market price of new harvest products remains nearly one-third higher compared to last year.
