According to the Main Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for St. Petersburg, a foreign national has been arrested in the city's Moskovsky District for committing a serious crime. A criminal case has been initiated against him under Part 4 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (intentional infliction of grievous bodily harm resulting in the death of the victim).
According to investigators, the incident occurred between August 7 and 8 of this year. While in the security room of a residential complex on Srednerogatskaya Street, the suspect, under the influence of alcohol, engaged in a dispute and assaulted his acquaintance. He struck the victim at least 9 times with his hands and feet in the head, chest, and abdominal areas.
The victim died at the scene from the injuries sustained. The suspect has been apprehended and charged, and investigative actions have been conducted to verify his testimony at the scene.
Investigative authorities are continuing to carry out necessary procedures to determine all the circumstances of the incident. The court is also considering the application of a preventive measure against the suspect.
