617 people checked at construction sites in St. Petersburg: 6 migrants detained

Officers of the Main Directorate of the Russian Interior Ministry for St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region carried out regular preventive measures at construction sites in the Primorsky district. During the raid conducted at four facilities located on Plesetskaya Street, a total of 617 people were checked.

According to official data, 514 of those checked were foreign nationals. As a result of the raid, 6 foreigners who showed signs of violating migration laws were taken to the police station. Appropriate measures are being taken against them under Article 18.8 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation.

In addition, law enforcement agencies inspected vehicles around the construction site. A total of 87 vehicles were checked, and a number of administrative protocols were drawn up regarding the identified violations.

St. Petersburg police announced that such measures to monitor compliance with migration legislation are carried out on a regular basis. Migrants are advised to always keep their documents in order and comply with Russian legislation.
