According to the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Krasnodar Territory, a criminal case has been initiated against a 36-year-old foreign national in the Tikhoretsk district. He is charged under Part 3 of Article 291 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (giving a bribe to an official for illegal actions).
According to investigators, during a police inspection, computer equipment and a vehicle belonging to an acquaintance of the foreign national were temporarily seized. The accused met with a police officer without his acquaintance's knowledge in an attempt to recover the items.
On July 17 of this year, the accused offered a bribe of 100,000 rubles to the law enforcement officer. However, the officer rejected the offer, and appropriate measures were taken regarding the incident. The foreign national is currently in custody by court order.
Investigation of the criminal case is ongoing. The process is being carried out in cooperation with the Federal Security Service (FSB) of Russia for the Krasnodar Territory.
