According to the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Vladimir Region, a resident of Vladimir has been convicted for selling special technical devices intended to assist in passing theoretical driving tests. The man, born in 1983, was found guilty under Article 138.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (illegal sale of special technical devices designed for the covert acquisition of information).
According to the investigation, the accused posted advertisements online offering assistance during exams. He provided his clients with micro-earpieces, radio communication devices, and t-shirts equipped with hidden button-shaped cameras. During the exams, the accused would wait outside the building and dictate the correct answers to his clients.
Individuals using these illegal devices were identified by inspectors during the examination process. Specifically, the exam results of a citizen born in 1979 and a foreign national born in 1986 were annulled, and the technical devices were confiscated. All of these individuals were also fined by the court.
Under the court's verdict, the man who sold the technical devices was sentenced to a fine of 140,000 rubles. It is noted that the individual had previously been convicted of a similar offense in the city of Kolchugino and fined 70,000 rubles. The accused pleaded guilty to the charges.
