In the city of Volzhsky, officers from the Russian Interior Ministry's migration department organized large-scale raids to monitor compliance with migration laws. The inspections covered areas where foreign citizens primarily work and live, specifically construction sites, agricultural lands, and dormitories.
During the raid, the documents of nearly fifty individuals were checked. As a result, 18 administrative reports were filed for violations of migration rules. The identified violations include non-compliance with entry or residency regulations in Russia, engaging in labor activities without a permit or patent, and missing deadlines for obtaining a patent.
Furthermore, the inspections identified individuals who provided housing to foreign citizens in violation of legal procedures. Administrative fines are expected to be imposed on the offenders, and investigations into all cases are ongoing.
The Volgograd Region police urge employers and property owners to strictly adhere to current legal requirements when hiring foreign citizens and providing them with accommodation. Oversight of migration legislation in the city is carried out on a continuous basis.
