The Kondinsky District Court of the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug has rejected a foreign national's request to overturn a deportation order from Russia. The woman was fined 2,000 rubles for violating migration rules and was ordered to be administratively expelled from the country.
During the court proceedings, the woman admitted her mistake but argued that she has a husband who is a Russian citizen and a daughter born on October 7 who holds Russian citizenship. It was also noted that her husband has a permanent residence and a job in Russia.
However, the court ruling stated that being married to a Russian citizen or having a child with Russian citizenship does not exempt a foreign national from the obligation to comply with migration legislation. The court, citing the rule of law, upheld the deportation order issued by the police.
At present, this court decision has not yet entered into legal force. Therefore, the woman has the right to appeal to a higher court. This case serves as a reminder to migrants living in Russia of the importance of strictly adhering to migration procedures.
