In the New Moscow area, law enforcement agencies have uncovered a case of illegal migration organization. As a result of operational activities carried out by officers of the regional department of the Russian Interior Ministry, it was established that a 51-year-old Moscow resident had organized the illegal stay of three citizens from Central Asian countries on Russian territory.
It was determined that the suspect provided housing to the foreigners in utility rooms located in the village of Popovka, Filimonkovskoye settlement. Although he was aware that the foreign citizens were staying in Russia illegally, he provided them with shelter in exchange for money and did not register any lease agreements. A criminal case has been initiated regarding this incident under Article 322.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (organization of illegal migration).
Protocols were drawn up against the three foreign citizens who committed the violation under Part 3.1 of Article 18.8 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation. By the decision of the court and relevant authorities, each of them was fined 5,000 rubles, and a decision was made to forcibly expel them from the territory of the Russian Federation.
For migrants, this case serves as another reminder of the importance of complying with the rules for staying in Russia. Living and working illegally without proper documentation leads to serious legal consequences for both the employer and the foreign citizens themselves, including expulsion from Russia and the imposition of fines.
