Documents of 298 foreigners may be revoked: group that issued illegal certificates convicted

The Leninsky District Court of Perm has issued a verdict against a criminal group involved in illegal migration between 2021 and 2024. Group members Kamil Bekmuratov, Tatyana Doppelmayer, and Anastasiya Batalova were found guilty of falsifying documents required for the legal stay of 298 foreign citizens in Russia.

According to the investigation, the group organized fraudulent mandatory exams in Russian language, history, and the fundamentals of legislation for foreigners. Candidates were given the answers to exam questions in advance, or other individuals took the tests on their behalf. As a result, the foreigners obtained certificates without having actual knowledge and used these documents to acquire legal status in Russia.

By the court's decision, Tatyana Doppelmayer was sentenced to 7 years in prison and fined 900,000 rubles. Kamil Bekmuratov was sentenced to 7 years in a strict-regime penal colony with 1 year of restricted freedom. Anastasiya Batalova was sentenced to 1 year and 6 months in a general-regime penal colony. At present, the court verdict has not yet entered into legal force.

It should be noted that the activities of this criminal group covered the Perm Territory, Moscow, and the Tula, Samara, and Kaluga regions. Investigative actions regarding other suspects in this case are ongoing, and their cases have been sent to the relevant district courts.
