In the city of Ussuriysk, Primorsky Krai, Russia, two women aged 47 and 56 are standing trial on charges of organizing an illegal migration channel. According to the Russian Interior Ministry's Primorsky Krai Department, between February and October 2025, they facilitated the illegal stay of over 300 foreign citizens in the country.
According to the investigation, one of the defendants was the head of a commercial organization and, using her official position, registered foreigners as the receiving party. They placed migrants on the migration register at addresses where they did not actually reside and submitted documents containing false information. This allowed the foreigners to obtain fake confirmation of their legal status in Russia.
A criminal case has been initiated under Part 2 of Article 322.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (organization of illegal migration by a group of persons using their official position). The investigation has been completed, and the case has been sent to court.
The defendants face a potential sentence of 5 to 10 years in prison, a fine of up to 1 million rubles, and a ban on holding certain positions for up to 7 years. Currently, the women are under house arrest and subject to restrictions on certain activities.
