900,000 Uzbeks are working in Russia on the basis of a patent

The number of Uzbek citizens working in Russia on the basis of a labor patent is 900,000. This was announced by Elyor Toshtemirov, Deputy Director of the External Labor Migration Agency of Uzbekistan.

In order to create convenience for our citizens traveling to Russia for work, the opportunity to take tests in the Russian language, history, and Russian legislation has been introduced at the representative office of the Peoples' Friendship University of Russia (RUDN) in Tashkent.

Furthermore, there are plans to relocate the processes of medical examination, fingerprinting, and photographing to the territory of Uzbekistan in the future. This innovation will allow migrants to simply obtain a patent and start working upon arrival in Russia.

This initiative is aimed at simplifying the document processing procedure for labor migrants, as well as reducing the time and costs spent on mandatory procedures within Russia. Currently, similar services for citizens of Tajikistan are already available in the city of Dushanbe.
