The Migration Department of the Russian Interior Ministry for the Chelyabinsk region held a regular meeting of the commission for the distribution of quotas for issuing temporary residence permits (RVP) to foreign citizens. These quotas are allocated based on rules approved by the Government of the Russian Federation.
A total of 25 quota spots have been set for the Chelyabinsk region for 2026. Since the beginning of the current year, the commission has reviewed 38 applications, with 5 foreign citizens being granted a quota. Currently, the number of unused quotas in the region stands at 20.
The documents of citizens who have applied for a quota are reviewed by the commission on an individual basis. In the event of a positive decision, the foreign citizen is required to process the necessary documents to obtain a temporary residence permit before the end of the current year.
