FSB arrests criminal group in Tyumen for creating fake contracts

The Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) has shut down a channel for illegal migration in the city of Tyumen. According to investigators, members of the criminal group, including a citizen of a Central Asian country, provided foreigners with fake employment contracts to extend their stay in Russia.

The perpetrators entered into sham contracts with foreign nationals without any intention of actual employment. These documents allowed migrants to extend their temporary residency in Russia on legal grounds. The proceeds were distributed among the members of the group.

A criminal case has been initiated under the article of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation regarding "Organization of illegal migration by an organized group." The suspects face up to 15 years in prison and fines of up to 5 million rubles.
