A 44-year-old resident of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky is accused of fictitiously registering foreign citizens for migration purposes. According to the regional department of the Russian Interior Ministry, a criminal case has been initiated regarding this incident.
According to the investigation, during June and July of this year, the woman registered 18 citizens from a neighboring country at two residential addresses she owns. However, these individuals did not actually reside at the specified addresses, and no housing was provided to them.
It has been established that the woman received monetary compensation for the fictitious registration of the foreigners. Currently, a preventive measure in the form of a travel restriction and an obligation to behave properly has been applied to the suspect.
Under Article 322.3 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, fictitious registration of foreign citizens is punishable by up to five years of imprisonment. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
