Individuals involved in organizing illegal migration arrested in Leningrad Region

In the Lomonosov district of the Leningrad Region, two individuals suspected of organizing illegal migration have been arrested. According to law enforcement agencies, one of the detainees is a 33-year-old Russian citizen, and the other is a 32-year-old foreign migrant.

It has been established that these individuals were engaged in finding foreigners who needed forged documents to extend their temporary stay in Russia and to register for migration purposes. They received monetary compensation in exchange for processing the relevant documents.

Under Russian law, the organization of illegal migration is a serious crime, punishable by up to 10 years of imprisonment. Investigative actions are currently underway regarding the incident.
