Individuals using forged migration documents identified in Mariupol

In the city of Mariupol, a case involving the use of forged migration documents was uncovered during operational and preventive measures conducted by the Russian Interior Ministry. Law enforcement officers discovered counterfeit forms intended to confirm migration registration.

The incident occurred during a vehicle inspection by traffic police officers. The notification forms for arrival at a place of temporary residence presented by a 24-year-old driver and his four passengers raised suspicions regarding their authenticity. Upon forensic examination, it was confirmed that the seal impressions on the documents did not match the established standard.

As a result of the investigation, five individuals aged between 19 and 36 were detained. They have confessed to the charges. A criminal case has been initiated under Article 327 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (forgery, manufacture, or circulation of counterfeit documents).

Police officers are continuing their investigation to identify and dismantle the channels for the production and distribution of forged documents. Migrants are advised to adhere to legal procedures when processing documents and to apply exclusively through authorized agencies.
