Starting September 1, 2026, the use of the 'Amina' mobile application will become a mandatory requirement for foreign citizens residing in Moscow and the Moscow region when registering for migration purposes. This new rule applies to all foreign nationals who have reached the age of 18.
This requirement also applies to students enrolled in local educational institutions, as well as family members of labor migrants. Furthermore, foreign citizens arriving in Russia for tourism or private purposes who plan to stay for more than 90 calendar days will also be required to install the application and complete the established procedures. This obligation does not apply to individuals under the age of 18.
The 'Amina' mobile application operates automatically. Its primary function is to verify that the user's registered address matches their actual location. It is intended that migrants will be able to carry out all processes related to migration registration through the application.
