Russian law enforcement agencies have put an end to the activities of an ethnic organized criminal group involved in producing forged documents to legalize foreign nationals. This was announced by the official representative of the Russian Interior Ministry, Irina Volk.
According to investigation data, since 2024, two individuals born in one of the Central Asian republics had been engaged in the production and sale of fake passports, employment contracts, migration cards, patents, and residence registration documents.
Key details of the illegal activity:
* Underground printing house: located in one of the apartments in Moscow, where a dot-matrix printer, ultraviolet detector, laminator, scanners, and stamps were seized. * Cost of documents: the price for producing a single forged document reached up to 100,000 rubles. * Sales mechanism: orders were accepted via messengers, and finished documents were delivered by mail.
As a result of searches conducted in the Moscow region and the Republic of Tatarstan, all material evidence was seized. A criminal case has been initiated against the suspects under Part 4 of Article 327 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (forgery of documents), and they have been remanded in custody.
Currently, search and investigative actions are ongoing to identify other individuals who have used these forged documents.
