Citizens who have applied for a patent to work in Russia often face questions about when to make the first payment and how to wait for the document to be ready. Experts note that the first payment for the patent should be made not at the time of submitting the documents, but precisely when receiving the ready patent.
According to the legislation of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs, the decision to issue or refuse a patent is reviewed within 10 working days from the date the documents are accepted. Therefore, it is recommended to check the status of the documents 10–15 days after the submission date.
You should visit the migration center to collect the patent only after receiving a corresponding SMS notification or after the document's readiness has been confirmed via the official website. During the collection process, migration center staff will provide the necessary instructions on how to correctly generate the payment receipt and the procedure for filling it out in the future.
