3 Uzbek migrants illegally registered in Russia are under investigation

According to the Main Directorate of the Russian Interior Ministry for the Krasnodar Territory, a case of organizing illegal migration has been uncovered in the Slavyansky district. A 74-year-old local resident has been named a suspect for providing living conditions for foreigners in her home.

It was determined that between June and October 2026, the woman allowed three citizens from Uzbekistan to reside in her house in exchange for money. The house was equipped with necessary conditions for cooking, electricity, and other household needs.

The Slavyansky District Department of the Russian Interior Ministry has initiated a criminal case against the suspect under Article 322.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (organization of illegal migration). Under this article, a person found guilty may face up to 5 years of imprisonment.

This situation is also significant for migrants, as illegal registration or the use of fraudulent documents regarding place of residence can lead to legal consequences. Migrants are strongly advised to register based solely on official and legal documentation.
