According to the press service of the Voronezh Region police, a 35-year-old local resident registered 11 foreign citizens at his apartment on Glinka Street between May and July of this year. As a result of inspections conducted by law enforcement agencies, it was determined that these individuals did not actually reside at the specified address.
During the investigation conducted by officers of the migration department, it was revealed that the apartment owner had fictitiously registered the migrants in exchange for financial gain. According to the detainee, the funds obtained were spent on personal needs.
A criminal case has been initiated regarding this incident under Article 322.3 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (fictitious registration of a foreign citizen). Under current legislation, such offenses can be punishable by up to 5 years of imprisonment.
