The Rossotrudnichestvo representative office in Uzbekistan is implementing large-scale projects that include educational, professional development, and cultural programs for young people. These initiatives aim not only to facilitate admission to Russian universities but also to assist students in adapting to a new environment and navigating the document processing procedures.
For the year 2026, 810 state-funded spots have been allocated for citizens of Uzbekistan in Russian higher education institutions. The selection process consists of document submission and remote testing, with a separate selection procedure for creative disciplines. The head of the representative office, Irina Staroselskaya, noted that competition is particularly high for medical fields.
For Uzbek students studying in Russia, migration registration and document processing during the first few months are critical stages. As experienced students note, the advice and support provided by Rossotrudnichestvo play a vital role in overcoming administrative challenges.
Educational projects are not limited to students alone. Under the "Russian Teacher Abroad" program, specialists teach exact sciences in Uzbek schools, while local teachers participate in professional development courses in Russia. Additionally, forums, student theaters, and social projects are being organized for the youth.
In the future, the representative office plans to open a new office in Samarkand and further develop youth and cultural projects. The community formed around Rossotrudnichestvo serves to strengthen ties between alumni and current students.
