Among migrants holding a temporary residence permit (RVP) in Russia, questions have been increasing regarding the necessity of registering for migration records via the "Amina" mobile application. Experts have clarified for whom the use of this application is mandatory.
The "Amina" app is intended exclusively for foreign citizens who have entered Russia under a visa-free regime and are in the status of "temporarily staying" in Moscow or the Moscow region for more than 90 days. A person holding an RVP is considered to have the status of "temporarily residing."
For this reason, migrants with an RVP should not use the "Amina" app. The requirements of Federal Law No. 109-FZ "On Migration Registration" apply to them. The registration period must be extended in the traditional way, as before.
We remind you that foreign citizens with an RVP, in addition to migration registration, also have the right to permanent registration at their place of residence.
