During inspections conducted by the Russian Interior Ministry's department for the Tambov District, a case of illegal registration of foreign citizens was uncovered. According to investigators, a local resident living in the village of Krutiye Viselki registered foreign nationals at his home using fraudulent documents.
It was established that between January and November 2025, the homeowner illegally registered foreign citizens at his address three times by providing false information. The suspect has confessed to the crime, and an investigation is currently underway.
A criminal case has been initiated under Article 322.2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. Under the law, such an offense is punishable by a fine of up to 500,000 rubles or imprisonment for up to three years.
The Tambov Region Interior Ministry reminds the public that a 24-hour hotline, 79-09-54, is available to report information regarding foreign citizens residing illegally in the region.
