According to data from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Tatarstan, between January and August 2026, courts issued 2,731 expulsion orders for violations of migration regulations and labor activity rules. For comparison, this figure stood at 996 during the same period in 2025.
Additionally, during the first eight months of this year, 5,280 foreign citizens were banned from entering Russia. In the corresponding period last year, this figure was 1,711. Furthermore, 78 deportation orders have been issued since the beginning of this year.
In accordance with changes in Russian legislation, the list of articles for which expulsion is applied as a measure for administrative offenses has been expanded. Now, foreigners can also be expelled from the country for petty hooliganism, violations during rallies, blocking roads, drug use, and a number of other offenses.
Control over employers has also been tightened. Specifically, 607 administrative protocols have been drawn up against organizations that failed to submit a notification regarding the conclusion of an employment contract with a foreign citizen within a 3-day period. Control measures to identify violations in the field of migration are ongoing.
