The Migration Department of the Interior Ministry for the Tula Region has issued a warning to owners of hotels, campsites, sanatoriums, and recreation centers. Starting June 21, 2026, fines for failing to timely notify authorities about the arrival or departure of foreign citizens and stateless persons will increase significantly.
Under the new regulations, the fine amount depends on the duration of the delay. If information is delayed by up to one business day, the fine ranges from 80,000 to 100,000 rubles, and for repeat offenses, it is set between 160,000 and 200,000 rubles. If the delay exceeds one business day, the fine can reach between 400,000 and 500,000 rubles.
It is emphasized that liability is calculated separately for each foreign citizen. Separate fines are also provided for violating registration and deregistration deadlines for Russian citizens. For delays of up to one day, a warning or a fine of 20,000 to 30,000 rubles may be imposed, while repeat offenses can lead to fines ranging from 40,000 to 60,000 rubles.
