In Tver, officers of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs arrested two local residents who had organized an illegal migration scheme. According to investigators, a 38-year-old man managed the stay of foreigners in Russia and their illegal employment. His 66-year-old accomplice provided the means for the fake registration of foreign nationals at his residence.
It was established that the 66-year-old citizen had officially registered 5 foreigners at his home address. However, inspections revealed that these individuals did not actually live at the specified address and had no intention of residing there. This situation is classified under Russian law as "fictitious registration."
In connection with this incident, a criminal case has been initiated against the suspects. The 38-year-old man is charged with organizing illegal migration, while the 66-year-old homeowner is being prosecuted under Article 322.3 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (fictitious registration of foreign citizens).
Note for migrants: registering for documents without actually residing at the address is a violation of the law. Participating in such schemes can lead to future deportation from Russia and other serious restrictions for violating migration legislation.
