Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Abdulla Aripov, during the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council meeting held in Minsk on October 2, put forward an initiative to take cooperation in the field of labor migration to a new level. The Prime Minister proposed linking the countries' electronic employment services to make labor migration processes more transparent and convenient.
The main goal of this proposal is to simplify the employment process for labor migrants and develop organized migration. The integration of electronic systems is intended to provide migrants with convenience in protecting their rights and finding work.
Furthermore, the meeting analyzed Uzbekistan's economic ties with the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU). While the volume of mutual trade exceeded 20 billion dollars by the end of 2025, this figure grew by another 16 percent in the first eight months of 2026.
Uzbekistan, while holding observer status, also put forward a number of proposals to strengthen industrial cooperation, join the customs transit system, and implement "green" energy projects. These initiatives are aimed at deepening regional economic integration.
