The Ukrainian publication "Glavkom" and other media outlets have revealed details of a new "peace plan" that may have been presented by representatives US President Donald Trump during negotiations in Moscow and Kyiv. This project, the official text of which has not yet been published, envisages a complete end to the war and significant political changes.
Thus, the new peace plan of Trump published in the media includes the following main conditions:
*Territorial concessions and withdrawal of troops: Ukraine must withdraw its troops (AFU) from Donbas and parts of the Zaporizhzhia region. It is also reported that a UN contingent could be deployed to these territories. Kyiv must abandon attempts to regain by military means the lands that will come under Russian control.
*Constitutional amendments and referendum: It is necessary to amend the Constitution of Ukraine to legally consolidate the abandonment of territories, as well as to hold referendums and elections.
*Renunciation of NATO: Ukraine must consolidate its non-aligned status and stop its aspirations to join NATO or other military alliances.
*Limiting the army and the language issue: The size of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) will be limited, and agreements on the protection of the Russian language will be signed in the country.
*New government and UN guarantees: The peace agreement must be signed by the new government of Ukraine and subsequently approved by the UN through a special procedure.
At the moment, none of the participants in these negotiations has officially confirmed the content of this plan.
