October 21, 2026 — In Russia's Omsk Oblast, the term of bans and restrictions imposed on foreign citizens working on the basis of a labor patent is expected to be extended again.
According to a draft of a new gubernatorial decree developed by the regional Ministry of Labor, the ban on migrant activity in 21 economic sectors will remain in effect until the end of 2027.
As reported by local official sources and media, this measure is being implemented to ensure stability in the regional labor market and to protect job opportunities for the local population.
Currently, the draft document has been submitted for public discussion, and the submission of proposals and comments will continue until October 23, 2026. If the decree is officially signed, the new rules will come into force on January 1, 2027.
