Uzbekistan-Russia Economic Cooperation: Investment Volume Exceeds $15 Billion

The Russian Federation maintains its status as Uzbekistan's second-largest trading partner. This was announced by Ekaterina Entina, a representative of the Higher School of Economics. The expert emphasized that despite instability in the global economy, business ties between the two nations are developing steadily.

It was noted that the volume of accumulated Russian investments in the Uzbek economy has exceeded $15 billion. In this regard, the Russian Federation holds one of the leading positions. These investments cover projects in various sectors and create a foundation for the creation of new jobs.

Experts also highlighted that Uzbekistan is expanding its trade and economic relations internationally, particularly with China, Japan, South Korea, and Western countries. At the same time, the opening of new transport and logistics routes is accelerating economic processes in the region.

For Uzbek labor migrants, these economic indicators signify stability in the labor market and the preservation and development of jobs within the framework of new projects. The high level of economic cooperation is one of the factors ensuring the consistency of labor migration flows between the two countries.
