As part of the official visit of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to Serbia, an important document regulating cooperation between the two countries in the field of labor migration was adopted. The parties paid special attention to issues of organized labor migration and signed an agreement on mobility and labor migration.
This agreement was implemented following the Serbian side's interest in establishing systematic cooperation in the field of labor migration. The document provides for mechanisms aimed at ensuring the legal and orderly movement of labor between the two countries, as well as strengthening the legal protection of migrants.
In addition, issues of developing trade and economic relations were discussed during the negotiations. In particular, an agreement was reached on the development and adoption of a free trade agreement between the two countries. This step is aimed at increasing the volume of mutual trade and taking economic cooperation to a new level.
The presidents also exchanged views on the implementation of joint projects in priority areas such as industrial cooperation, transport, logistics, agriculture, and the digital economy. To ensure the high-quality execution of the agreements, it was decided to adopt a corresponding "roadmap".
