In accordance with the decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated August 28, a new procedure for taking cash currency out of the country is expected to be introduced. According to the new rules, individuals will be allowed to take out cash currency equivalent to up to 10,000 US dollars without filling out a customs declaration.
It should be noted that under the current regulations, the amount of cash in national and foreign currency that can be taken out without a declaration must not exceed the equivalent of 100 million soums. The legal formalization of this new procedure and the development of the draft law are planned to be completed by December 2027.
These changes are aimed at creating additional convenience for citizens traveling abroad from Uzbekistan, including labor migrants, when transporting financial assets. Citizens are requested to comply with customs regulations during international travel and to keep track of the changes.
