The issue of reducing dependence on foreign workers by revising Russia's economic system and increasing local production potential is being discussed. According to Alexander Gushchin, an associate professor at RUDN University, the Russian labor market cannot currently function without migrants, but this process requires regulation.
The expert notes that the factor of cheap labor remains important for employers. Nevertheless, the main goal is to create economic conditions that ensure priority for Russian citizens. This, in turn, requires improving the quality of the personnel training system and secondary technical education.
To reduce the risks associated with migration processes, it is necessary to strictly comply with legislative norms and improve labor market management mechanisms. At the same time, it was emphasized that Russia will continue to develop industrial cooperation with partners in the Eurasian space and expand economic ties with countries outside the region.
These changes may affect labor migration policy in the future. For migrants, compliance with the law and strengthening their position as qualified personnel is becoming increasingly important.
