Representatives of the LDPR party in Russia have published the results of monitoring the types of social assistance provided to labor migrants in the country's regions. According to the party's data, in some regions, foreigners have access to various benefits, compensation for kindergartens and schools, as well as medical services on an equal basis with Russian citizens.
As part of the monitoring, the benefits available to migrants include child benefits, maternity payments, free school uniforms, school supplies, and priority admission to educational institutions. In some regions, it is also mentioned that expenses for the return of migrants to their homeland are covered or employment services are provided.
The political organization is demanding a full audit of these expenses and the cancellation of regional aid types allocated to migrants. Other proposals include prioritizing Russian citizens in employment and restricting the entry of foreign labor migrants along with their family members.
Currently, these proposals are an initiative at the political party level, and no changes have been made to official legislative acts. The procedure for social assistance and benefits for migrants in each region of Russia is regulated based on current local legislation and regulatory documents.
