Demand for foreign employees in the Russian labor market continues to decline. According to Harry Muradyan, head of an international recruitment agency, the number of job vacancies fell by 18% by the end of August. This trend has affected almost all sectors.
Experts attribute these changes to a shift in employers' personnel policies. Currently, companies are prioritizing employees hired through a quota system over independent workers. Employees arriving under this system cannot change employers until their contract expires, which provides stability for businesses.
Forecasts suggest that the number of job openings in the Russian market will continue to shrink. At the same time, the composition of migration flows is changing: the workforce from Central Asian countries is being replaced by specialists from India, the Philippines, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and African nations arriving under visa regimes.
This situation implies increased competition and a more complex job-seeking process for migrants currently in Russia or those looking for work. The demand from employers for stable, long-term contracts is directly impacting the number of available vacancies in the labor market.
