The Ministry of Labor, Employment and Migration Policy of the Samara Oblast has developed a draft law that provides for an increase in the tax burden on foreign citizens in 2027. Currently, the document is undergoing anti-corruption expertise.
According to the draft law, it is proposed to set the income tax on the labor activities of foreign workers, depending on the category, from 12,048 to 17,068 rubles per month. Also, starting from 2027, migrants may be required to make payments for each child in their care in the amount of 6,024 to 8,534 rubles per month.
Furthermore, it is proposed to set the subsistence minimum coefficient for foreigners working in the region at 1.5. This change means that citizens who have arrived in Russia for work must ensure that they and the family members accompanying them have funds of no less than the subsistence minimum multiplied by this coefficient.
If these initiatives are approved, citizens of Uzbekistan working in the Samara Oblast will need to take these new taxes and mandatory payments into account when planning their monthly expenses.
