New changes in the migration legislation of the Russian Federation may excessively complicate processes for employers due to bureaucracy. This was stated by Boris Titov, Special Representative of the President of Russia for Relations with International Organizations for Sustainable Development and Co-Chairman of the Russia-China Committee for Friendship, Peace and Development, in an interview with TASS following the Eastern Economic Forum (EEF).
"We have formed a more systematic strategy. A lot will change starting next year. The only thing that worries me as an employer is the very large role assigned to the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MVD) in organized recruitment. I am afraid that excessive bureaucracy will make things even more complicated; employers should have been given more flexibility," he said while commenting on the labor migration strategy in Russia.
The Eastern Economic Forum took place on September 1–4 in Vladivostok at the campus of the Far Eastern Federal University. The main theme of the 2026 EEF is "The Far East: Development on the Path to Human Well-being." The organizer is the Roscongress Foundation, supported by the Government of the Russian Federation. TASS is the general information partner.
