109 migrants detained in Moscow region: they face deportation

In the Dmitrov urban district of the Moscow region, compliance with migration legislation was checked as part of the "Nelegal-2026" preventive measures. Officers of the Russian Interior Ministry's "Dmitrovskoye" department conducted raids at agricultural and construction sites, warehouses, and places where migrants congregate.

As a result of the inspections, 109 foreign citizens were brought to internal affairs bodies. Protocols were drawn up against 82 of them for violating the rules of stay in Russia (Article 18.8 of the Code of Administrative Offenses), and against 18 for illegal labor activities (Article 18.10). Another 9 people were held accountable for failure to comply with administrative penalties.

A fine of 5,000 rubles was imposed on each offender. Of the 109 identified individuals, 100 are being expelled from the country with the obligation to leave Russia independently under supervision. The remaining 9 individuals were placed in a temporary detention center for forced deportation.

This incident serves as a reminder of the importance of keeping migrants' documents, including registration and work permits, in order at all times. Violating legislative requirements can lead not only to fines but also to expulsion from the country and a subsequent ban on entry into Russia.
