7 children left without care returned to their homeland from Russia

On September 15, 2026, 7 minor children who were left without parental care were returned to Uzbekistan from the Russian Federation. Three of these children were handed over to Uzbek representatives by their mothers who are currently serving prison sentences. This process was carried out with the assistance of Uzbekistan's consular institutions in Russia.

With the return of this group, the official mission to Russia has concluded. In total, 32 minor children were brought back to their homeland during the mission: 30 from Russia and 2 from Kazakhstan. Work has begun to ensure the rights and interests of the returned children, facilitate their adaptation to a family environment, and provide social and psychological support.

The future well-being of the children and their integration into families will be monitored by "Inson" social service centers at their places of residence through social accompaniment. State agencies continue their efforts to repatriate minors who find themselves in difficult situations abroad.

In particular, a mission is planned in the near future to bring back 1 minor child from Georgia. Negotiations are also underway with the Republic of Turkey regarding the return of children.
