Official representative of the Russian Interior Ministry, Irina Volk, announced on October 27 that the activities of an organized criminal group involved in producing forged documents for foreign citizens had been halted in the Rostov region. According to investigation data, since 2024, members of the group had been producing fake forms and certificates necessary for legal stay on Russian territory.
23 individuals involved in the criminal case, gathered from various regions, systematically organized illegal migration channels. According to preliminary estimates, about 2,000 foreign migrants used this criminal scheme. Currently, law enforcement agencies are continuing investigative actions and identifying all participants in the criminal network.
Experts note that status obtained through forged documents creates serious legal risks for migrants. If such documents are found to be invalid, the individuals who used them may be deported from Russia and subsequently barred from entering the country.
This case demonstrates that document verification processes within the migration control system are being strengthened. Migrants are advised to process their documents only through official state agencies and to avoid suspicious offers from intermediaries.
