In the city of Ryazan, law enforcement officers have uncovered further instances of migration law violations. It was established that a 33-year-old local resident had been fictitiously registering foreign citizens at her place of residence throughout May and June 2026.
According to police data, the woman registered 19 individuals from Central Asian countries (16 men and 3 women) at her house and apartment in exchange for money. However, inspections revealed that these individuals did not actually reside at the specified addresses and had no intention of doing so.
Following this violation, administrative measures were taken against the 19 foreign citizens under Article 18.8 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation. This article provides for fines or deportation from the country for violating migration rules.
A criminal case has been initiated against the woman involved in the fictitious registration under Article 322.2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (fictitious registration of a foreign citizen at a place of stay). Under this article, the guilty party faces up to 5 years of imprisonment.
