Control over migrants to be tightened from 2027: artificial intelligence system to be launched

The Russian Interior Ministry plans to launch a special analytical center to combat illegal migration starting in 2027. This was announced by Deputy Minister Andrey Kikot.

The main task of the new center will be to conduct a comprehensive analysis of migration processes and promptly identify violations. The system will operate using artificial intelligence technologies and centralize data obtained from various sources.

This system will integrate information from border crossing points, migration control posts, surveillance cameras with facial recognition features, as well as data provided by employers and government agencies. The collected information will be analyzed to detect violations and take prompt measures.

Currently, funding issues for the center's establishment have been resolved, and work is underway to develop the project's technical specifications. For migrants, this system means further tightening of control over compliance with documents and migration rules.
