MOSCOW. The leader of the LDPR party, Leonid Slutsky, posted a short video clip of his meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin on his official social media page.
In this post, the party leader announced the LDPR's priority tasks in the State Duma for the next five years and its proposals regarding migration policy. In his statement, Slutsky emphasized that the party will continue to protect the interests of the Russian people and strengthen the fight against illegal migration.
The party leader writes on his page:
"The LDPR will continue to protect the Russian people. At the meeting with the President of Russia, I spoke about the LDPR's tasks in the State Duma for the next five years. We will continue to work on migration policy and the fight against illegal migration. We propose to limit the ability of migrants to bring their family members to Russia. We cannot turn a blind eye to those who come to our country and create nothing but disorder. Part of our package of bills has already been adopted, and we will defend our remaining initiatives to the end."
It should be noted that the LDPR faction has been promoting a number of restrictions in Russian legislation aimed at tightening the rules for the stay of foreign workers in the country.
