On November 3, Russian President Vladimir Putin held a meeting of the Council for Interethnic Relations. During the meeting, the head of state emphasized the need to increase the effectiveness of work to prevent interethnic conflicts in the country's regions, including providing this sector with personnel and financial resources.
At the meeting, the issue of illegal migration was identified as one of the main problems in the sphere of interethnic relations. Experts, relying on international experience, stated the need to review and regulate migration policy to make it safe and convenient for those wishing to work in Russia.
President Putin particularly highlighted the importance of training modern and qualified specialists in the field of interethnic relations. An instruction was also given to continue projects launched within the framework of the "Year of Unity of the Peoples of Russia" after December 31 and to develop new formats for them.
According to experts, state bodies, in particular the Russian Interior Ministry and other relevant structures, will continue to take measures to control migration flows and maintain social stability. For migrants, these changes mean that new requirements or control mechanisms may be introduced in the future regarding document processing and legal employment procedures.
