How can migrant workers abroad accumulate pension seniority?

New mechanisms are being developed to include periods of work by Uzbek citizens abroad, particularly in countries like Russia and Kazakhstan, in their pension seniority. To simplify this process, the creation of a special mobile application called "Migrant pensiya" is planned.

Currently, citizens working abroad can voluntarily pay pension contributions, similar to self-employed individuals. The established minimum amount is 440,000 soums per year. Each year for which this payment is made is counted towards the citizen's pension seniority.

According to the amendments made to the legislation, citizens will have the opportunity to pay social tax for past periods even after returning to Uzbekistan. Specifically, after returning home, it is possible to restore pension seniority by paying contributions for previous years within a three-year period.

This innovation aims to create favorable conditions for our compatriots working abroad to secure pension coverage in the future. Migrants will be able to monitor their seniority remotely and make contribution payments.
