According to the Minister of Employment and Poverty Reduction of Uzbekistan, Botir Zohidov, the number of citizens who have completed their labor activities abroad and returned to their homeland is 661,000. The issue of socio-economic adaptation of these citizens and their employment is under state control.
According to statistical data, 557,000 of the returned citizens are currently employed in jobs that provide a steady income. These measures are aimed at accelerating the reintegration of migrants into the Uzbek labor market.
Furthermore, the ministry is continuing efforts to provide employment for another 70,000 migrants. It is emphasized that the personal wishes, professional skills, and interests of the citizens are being taken into account.
